Work in progress
Are you missing BarBalkans on Saturday morning? Don't worry, we'll be back soon, with brand new stories. In the meantime, get ready for some big news
Hi,
it has been a while since BarBalkans last brought you the latest insights on the Western Balkans (here you can find a palliative for nostalgia).
The time to leave has not come yet, but I wanted you to be updated on the preparations for the next season.
Ok, “I” write the newsletter. But it remains “our” newsletter, as we have always said. I see no reason why you should remain unaware of the new projects for so long.
During these weeks I have been sorting out some ideas that have started to take shape for some time.
First of all, the simplest thing. There will be some external changes: BarBalkans will be the same homemade newsletter as always, but more defined.
Then, I will try to organize the first BarBalkans event A sort of première, with speakers and experts sitting at the same table.
The subject of the event will be Alexander Langer, a South Tyrolean and pro-European activist and politician, in love with peace and the Balkans. Who gave his whole life - literally - for a utopia.
And finally, let’s countdown to the EU-Western Balkans summit in Kranj, Slovenia, on October 6.
A crucial appointment for the relations between Brussels and the six Balkan countries that aim at joining the EU. I will try to report it for you directly from there!
One last thing. If you want to give me suggestions on topics you would like to know more about by reading the newsletter, or if you have proposals for activities and collaborations, you can use the button below (or just contact me on the social media):
Did you want to subscribe to BarBalkans but you just forgot to do it so far?
Now that the journey is momentarily stopped, you have plenty of time!
Here you can find the link. The “menù” is always the same: one coffee per month, one book per year or a free offer to support the project, now that we are trying to take extra steps in terms of quality.
You already know the gift you will receive. And if you did not realize it on Wednesday, the time machine of the Yugoslav Wars has not stopped!
Don’t miss the latest article with a podcast, directly from July ‘91.
You can find the podcast, and all the previous episodes, on Spreaker, Spotify, Apple Podcast and Google Podcast.
