This is not the BarBalkans you think it is
Dear reader,
welcome back to BarBalkans, the newsletter with blurred boundaries.
This is not the usual biweekly newsletter, that will be published next Saturday. This email is going to explain some new features recently introduced by BarBalkans’ newsroom.
For example, the possibility of receiving fewer undesired emails. This is why we ask you for just two minutes of your time and the patience not to click - precisely because of this unexpected communication - on ‘Unsubscribe’.
You may have noticed the restyling of BarBalkans homepage, which is now all in English. New sections have been introduced: Podcast - with both versions of The Yugoslav Wars in English and Italian - Open Bar - with external contributions in English and Italian - and BarBalcani, just for the Italian newsletters.
This means that you can now select the specific products you want to receive, according to your preferences. From now on, there is no need to unsubscribe from all the newsletters if you no longer want to receive two emails on Saturday mornings.
Here is how to proceed.
From BarBalkans homepage go to Newsletters section:
Click on Account settings:
Select the newsletters you want to receive (green is switched on, gray is switched off). You will receive the the monthly podcast reserved for subscribers The Yugoslav Wars - both in English and in Italian - only if you select also the English version of BarBalkans newsletter.
Now, you can enjoy all the newsletters you prefer, in the language of your choice:
The English biweekly newsletter BarBalkans (on Saturday mornings)
The Italian biweekly newsletter BarBalcani (on the same Saturday mornings)
Open Bar external contributions (the last Friday of the month), in English or Italian according to each contributor’s choice
The bilingual monthly podcast The Yugoslav Wars / Le guerre in Jugoslavia (the second Wednesday of the month), reserved to subscribers
There is one last thing we would like to tell you.
